According to the original report, the Sirte Operations Room, led by Major General Ahmed Thabet, directed patrols in the Ras Lanuf sector on 19 September. Their stated purpose was to study terrain and access routes and improve personnel training with different vehicles.
A special tasks company based in Ras Lanuf participated. The report thanked Colonel Issa Al-Qabsi for his continuing support and stated that the units were ready to respond to instructions from General Command and the Sirte Operations Room.
